Wyre District offers a dynamic and supportive environment for entrepreneurs and investors.

In 2024 the Blackpool, Fylde and Wyre Economic Prosperity Board commissioned a Fylde Coast Economic Needs Update and Employment Land Review. This led to our 2025 Economic Development and Visitor Economy Strategy. The review and strategy help to formulate the Council’s annual budget as to where money will be invested from the public purse.

The commitment to driving the local economy forward and supporting business growth by Wyre Council, we hope will encourage you to speak to us, the Economic Development Team, about investing in your business, relocating or starting a new business here in Wyre. We would welcome a chat with you.
